WHO CAN APPLY?
You may apply for indefinite leave to remain if you are a skilled worker, long-time UK resident, or partner/family member of a person settled in the UK.
REQUIREMENTS
To be granted ILR, you must:
- have lived lawfully in the UK
- fulfil the English language requirement and pass the Life in the UK test
- fulfil the minimum salary requirement
- not have been absent for more than 6 months in a 12-monthsperiodÂ
- not fall for refusal under the General Grounds for Refusal
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO REACH A DECISION?
It will usually take approximately 5 months for your ILR application to be processed. Once a decision has been made, you will generally receive your biometric residence permit (BRP) within 7-10 days.
