You can apply for a student visa if you are over the age of 16, want to study at an institute in the UK and have been offered a place on a course by a licensed student sponsor, have enough money to support yourself and pay for your course. ELIGIBILITY

  • You must have confirmation of acceptance for studies (CAS) from a licensed sponsor
  • You must meet the English language requirements
  • You must be 16 and over ( evidence of parental consent is required) – you can apply for the Child Student Visa if your 16-17 year-olds & want to attend a school in the UK
  • You must have been offered a place on a course by a licenced student sponsor.
  • You must meet financial requirements and have enough money to cover yourself and your living costs in the UK.

You will also have to pay the healthcare surcharge fee which will vary in price depending on how long your visa is for. 

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO REACH A DECISION?

Applications submitted in the UK are usually processed within 8 weeks, and those submitted outside the UK are usually processed in 3 weeks; however, priority services are available for applications to be processed faster.
